Geithner needs a coach

If ever there was a prime time example of someone who could use some executive coaching, it is our Treasury Secretary, Timothy Geithner. Here’s a guy who is overworked, understaffed and under siege. He’s ostensibly  a brilliant financial mind and one of the oft stated “smartest guys in the room.” The problem is, he’s thoroughly underwhelming.

Secretary Geithner needs a truth teller. Someone who cares enough about him to provide the kind of unfiltered feedback that he needs to hear. Someone who’s willing to tell him to stand up straight, lift up his head and command his presence. To change the annoying habit of ending too many of his sentences with an upward inflection, like like a teenage girl. He needs to take the time to invest in his own development so that we, as taxpayers, are okay with him investing our hard earned tax dollars for us.

If you think these types of small, easy to implement changes would benefit Secretary Geithner, imagine what opportunities are available to you. Carpe diem.
