Excellent advice. And to go one step further it's important to distinguish that which cannot change (at least not without major therapy!) from that which can change.

Our personality, core beliefs and values (measured on instruments different than DISC or MBTI) are stable over time, and barring trauma or therapy, can't be changed. Whereas our behavior does - and should - change depending on the circumstances.

Like behavior, personality and values are not "right" or "wrong." But they all present us with strengths - or challenges - in different situations. It's important to recognize what those situations are.
